Instead of exploring how divine connection can ground and ultimately fortify us all, the Western “wisdom” turns loss into a mandatory trip through a dark tunnel that must be slowly and painstakingly walked before relief becomes possible. It would be comic if it weren’t so wastefully and tragically false.
